Works in progress

So, it's been a while since I've updated the blog... which isn't so unusual for me... but with the new site established, there's been a little bit of back and forth in my head about how to use it. My site is a site for my work first and foremost... and the last thing I figure is that potential clients want to here me blabbing. So I figure I'll keep it like this from now on.

Speaking of Blogs, the thing I've been really aware of lately is this "blosgosphere" that seems to get mentioned everywhere these days. Being an off and online journaler from the early nineties, I'm finding it really interesting and great that very smart and talented people in my field are also putting their thoughts and and processes on their own blogs. I read Heidi McDonald's The Beat (one of my favorites) pretty regularly, where she has a sort of "on ramp" to the comics creating/criticism branch of the "blogosphere. It's really cool. Go check it out. That stuff's waaaay more interesting than over here. All I do is work.

While I'm on working... Man, things are busy as usual (actually busier) at the Miketron2000 Industry headquarters. I just did "true rock tales" strip for SPIN magazine due out in April, the 8-pager for Image's Four Letter Worlds, and another 8-pager for the new Oni Hopless Savages B-Sides(with the AMAZING Becky Cloonan and Vera Brosgol) one-shot due out in March. The collection of my Queen and Country arc is due out in March as well.

Am I done though? Hell no. I gots lots o stuff up my sleeve. I'm finishing the last few pages of Night Club #1 right now for Image and well, there's other stuff that I can't talk about right now :)
